Being Creative with Apo-Lady

When my grandparents trip was coming to an end, we decided to paint some pots with Apo-Lady so the kids could have something special that they made with their great grandmother. Lisa painted a big pot for Apo-Lady and we put each of the kids handprints on it. It turned out really nice and Apo-Lady loved it. We sure do miss our grandparents and Aunt Marilyn! Hopefully they will plan another trip soon!

A Day at the Aquarium

Georgia has the largest aquarium in the world, and I have to say they have a lot of fish that I've never seen in person before. We had a great time with the whole fam. (mostly, minus Ben and Danny). Jonas really liked the seals. They were especially energetic and very entertaining.

Lion King

We had the opportunity to go to the Lion King play. It was so amazing. The scenes and animal costumes were unbelievable. Some people are so creative. I wish I was. We had a great time, once again, with Lelang, Lelong and Marilyn. It was even better because we had NO KIDS!!! You need one of those kind of nights once in a while.

Stone Mountain

One of our activities with my grandparents and aunt was Stone Mountain. It was a bit cold, but we had a good time together. It took us the whole night (actually until Danny showed up) to figure out who the 3 men were on the rock. My grandmother was so disappointed that we couldn't name them all, especially when my mom said one of them was Hugh Grant. We finally were able to name all three men when Danny showed up and of course he knew all of them.

Hand stand contest on the rock. Lisa won every time. I guess she still has the gymnast in her.

We are probably laughing at Steven. If you look at the previous picture, he barely got his feet in the air:-)

Not only do we look alike, but apparently we have the same smile.

Jonas just about had it. He was hungry, a little cold and tired. He could really care less that we were on top of a huge rock. All he wanted was pizza! We all knew it too, because that was all he said for about an hour, "I want pizza!" Poor little guy.

For some reason the guys felt the need to pose while on the rock. These weren't staged pictures!

Can you tell my grandparents are from Hawaii?

A Surprise Visit

This week we were so excited to have our Lelong (Grandpa), Lelang (Grandma), and Aunt Marilyn here in Georgia for a long awaited visit. We haven't seen them for about 6 years mostly due to the fact that my grandparents live in Hawaii and my aunt lives in California. The surprise visit came when my brother and his wife showed up when we were meeting for dinner. Everyone, except for my mom and her parents, knew about Jared and Leni flying down to Georgia. So, before dinner started, Jared and Leni casually walked through the door and gave my mom, her parents, and her sister a big surprise. We had a fun evening catching up and reminiscing. We've done a lot since they came to visit and I have a lot of pictures to post of our fun adventures.

I had to post this picture because Lisa looks hilarious. She looks like she's not too sure of the food in front of her. It actually was a very good dinner!
