Riverboat Ride

In Savannah we stayed at the Hyatt on the river. On the river they offer boat rides, so we decided to try it out. It was nice and relaxing. Here are some pictures of our boat ride.

Summer is Here!!!

I'm so ready for the summer! To start it off, Ben and I decided to go on a short trip to Savannah on Memorial Day weekend. We stayed in Savannah for one night by the river and then we headed to Tybee Island to hang out on the beach for a day. It was a fun, relaxing time. We also got to see Sam (Ben's brother), who lives in Savannah. We went to dinner with Sam and had a good time catching up. The weather was perfect for a beach trip and we were able to get our tans started! This summer our plans are to hang out at the pool with family and just relax and stay cool. Well, Jonas and I are going to be poolside this summer, but Ben will be busy with a full load of classes! So, I'm sure the summer will fly by for him.

One of Jonas' Best Friends

I let Jonas take some pictures today, which he loved. Anything with buttons is interesting to him. So we took some pictures of our cat, Icarus. Jonas loves Icarus. He's not your typical moody, unpredictable cat. He's actually more like a dog. Icarus loves to be around us and always wants attention. He is very tolerant of Jonas as well. Jonas will decide he is in a wrestling ring and will jump on Icarus and pin him down. It doesn't phase Icarus. I've never known a cat like him.

What to do on a Rainy Day

It was an ugly, rainy day today. I didn't feel like going anywhere, so Jonas and I just chilled in the house today. Unfortunately with a two year old, you can't enjoy a rainy day by sleeping or reading a good book. So, what to do when you are stuck inside?

Trying on Daddy's shoes...

Reading a good book...

Dreaming about what you can do in the rain...

Wondering where rain cames from...

Talking about rain with the cat...

Finally getting his wish to jump in the puddles...

Realizing being wet isn't so much fun as he thought...

Begging to come back inside the house...

Happy to be in the dry house...

Reading with Uncle Chris

Jonas loves to read books. Uncle Chris was over the house and Jonas jumped on the chance to read his favorite book with his Uncle. I thought the pictures were cute!
