Preschool this week was at our house. We learned about the letter C, triangles, yellow (you can tell in the pictures) and the number three. The kids had a great time and the moms had fun chatting.

It's all good
I just looked up on the net what type of spider is inhabiting my back porch (see post below) and it's just a harmless golden garden spider. They actually are good to have around to catch annoying mosquitos and other pests. However, we will definitely keep our distance.

Lion King Galore
In Jonas' closet there was this Tiger costume and tonight, for some reason, he wanted to wear it. It was a little snug, but I went with it. He then wanted to watch Lion King immediately. To add to the theme, we decided to let Icarus watch with us. He's kind of like a Lion, right?
The two boys lounging (What a life!)
I think Icarus is laughing at the part when Pumba farts (or maybe Icarus farted and Jonas is making a mad dash off the bed)
Scratching Icarus' favorite spot

Pre-Preschool
Some friends from church and I decided to have a little preschool for the kids once a week. Today was our first day and it went pretty well. It definitely was what I expected. The kids could only sit for about 5 minutes at a time and they were ready to move on. Their ages range from 2 1/2 to 4 years old. The 4 year old did great, he sat the longest. The rest were really more interested in the toy room across the hall. All in all, it was fun getting together and I'm sure they will get the hang of it as the year moves on. These kids will be ready for kindergarten!!!

Messes, Messes, Everywhere...
So after a long day of preschool, shopping, cleaning and just everyday stuff, I decided to let Jonas play with paint and paint some leaves we collected outside. I was very late cooking dinner and I needed him to be preoccupied for just about 15-20 minutes, well parenting 101 teaches that 15-20 minutes is WAY too long to leave a child unattended. Alone with paint is definitely a NO, NO! (Are you jotting this down, Jared and Leni? :-) Needless to say, paint was everywhere! Oh boy. I got all the paint cleaned up and put Jonas in the bath a second time, and then decided to make brownies (Ben was pulling an almost all-nighter for school). Well of course Jonas had to lick the bowl and spoon. Another complete mess. I was so tired at this point, I just threw him in the sink with the dirty dishes!
