Blueberry Pickin'

It's blueberry season so we decided to go pick some for ourselves. It was very hot and humid even at 9 am, so the kids were a little cranky. Lisa and I really started getting into it towards the end. We found that the branches near the top of the bushes were packed with big, juicy blueberries, so we used team work to pull down the branches and grab the best blueberries. The poor kids were ready to go about 15 minutes into it, but Lisa and I just couldn't stop. We would be heading back and we would spot a bush with bunches of blueberries. We kept making the kids stop so we could pick and the whining started all over. We picked 3 pounds of blueberries and it only cost $5.50. We could of picked twice that if it were just Lisa and I, oh well :-)

It's kind of hard to see here, but Jonas was soaked in sweat.
He sweats like no other. It looked like I dunked his head in a tub of water.

Jenga

So, Ben is on the aerial robotics team at school and this week he is at a competition. Steven and the older Gagnon kids have kept me company while Ben is gone. One night we played Jenga. I love that game! We started playing with the kids but they soon got bored and it ended up just me and Steven playing for the win. Needless to say it did get pretty competitive, but that's not a surprise. Steven was so sure of himself because he supposedly has a steady hand being an artist. I gave him a run for his money and we got the tower pretty high. He did win the first game, but I won the game the next night. So I guess we need a tie breaker!
